Silhouette

Hi everyone, so for one of our shots Me and Connor wanted to create a silhouette as its something different and we wanted to have Connor lip-syncing but not in a way everyone would expect. We wanted to create the silhouette with the sunset but, as it England, its not always possible to catch a nice sunset and as we only have limited time, I think it'd be a better idea by using lights in order to create the silhouette; here's a video on youtube I found which would help us achieve this...

 

Album cover idea's

Hey guys, so today I designed a few album cover idea's. Me and connor both decided to name our band The magnets and decided to used a fridge with magnets as our idea in order to get across our name, here are a few of our creations...
We decided to call the album Blue Veins as that is the song we are using for our 1 minute task and the title is catchy and different. Throughout all designs we used a similar running theme with a retro fridge which fits our type of genre

 

Personally my favourite is this one as I liked the fridge magnet idea.

( I used serif draw and google images to put together these designs)

Hey, so, I'm aware this post isn't as exciting as my others, however I thought I'd share mine and Connors storyboard with you all. I'm aware it doesn't have lyrics and my illustrations (as you know) are not great, but it helps us with our idea's of what to do for each part of the song...

 

 

 

Our chosen song for 1 minute piece

Hey guys so Me and Connor have decided to do our 1 minute task to 'Blue Veins' by The Raconteurs. We got this song from the programme Peaky Blinders which is basically about a gang created after WW1. This programme uses a lot of music in this genre e.g. White Stripes, Artic Monkey's and songs by Jack White. I really like this song and due to the reversing effect in the beginning would be fun to use to our advantage, we have our initial idea sorted so keep checking for more updates on my blog! Our storyboard will be coming soon:)

Practice piece

Hey guys so Me and Connor did a little practice piece to Happy. Obviously the quality isn't the best as some clips were filmed on my phone, with the camera portrait so it didn't really fit the scale properly. We used Premiere Pro to edit our clips and used Cinespace 50 faded film as our filter overlaying our clips. This was just a little play around with premiere pro and getting us back into editing and filming so it wasn't anything too serious...enjoy guys
